Yeah, same here ( U10/333MHz ) - I'd partially blame gcc though, it's
slow on SPARCs and when compiling template-ridden C++-code like QT/KDE
it's even slower and eats huge amounts of memory.
KDE itself is pretty much usable though, even with some of the eyecandy
enabled.
