I have seen also quite a few hangs/crashes (X also active 8-(). last two
weeks.
Playing with racoon (from which I currently see quite a few error messages
about failures wrt to SA management from the kernel) seems to trigger
it.
Other output before a hang (dmesg) look like this:

pppoe0: LCP keepalive timed out, going to restart the connection
arp_drain: locked; punting
key_checkrequest: error 55 returned from key_acquire.

key_checkrequest: error 55 returned from key_acquire.
key_checkrequest: error 55 returned from key_acquire.

Things seem unstable and network/ipsec seem close by.
