I see the same behaviour with a USB keyboard after updating -current from
2005.04.16 to 2005.05.13 (both 3.99.3), including updating X.

Keyboard repeat on the console is untouched, but in X it's off now by default.

Any ideas where this is coming from? Perhaps the recent USB event repeat changes?
