I'm curious.. what modem codec do you have? I've been doing some more
reading, and it looks like the ALSA folks never got Conexant MC97 codecs
to work with any of their drivers. I've sent mail to
alsa-devel@lists.sourceforge.net asking for some more technical details,
but from what I've read, the chips are simply not MC97 compliant. I've
also sent mail to Conexant asking for a datasheet for Conexant MC97
codecs.
