I just had a rather annoying problem with large round trip times using pppo=
e=20
to a Cisco router (of some sort).

I was getting upwards of 6 second pings over the DSL.  Doing

	ifconfig pppoe0 down
	ifconfig pppoe0 up

made this stop, and pings are once again 41-43 ms again.

=46or anyone else using pppoe, have you ever seen this sort of problem?
