No - but I'm not qualified to answer and don't have any creative
suggestions.

We do need some good dvb etc. API, but I'm not sure what that would be.
Wasn't there some work to create a replacement for v4l? Is there any other
prior art? What does MacOS X do? How about Solaris?

It would be great if we could port MythTV to NetBSD, and if that helps
with webcams, even better.
