the openoffice-2 beta is a set of rpm. previously it was an installer app.

I used rpm2pkg to unpack it, and it seems to work for the trivial case of
.doc and .ppt I had on my homedir.

YMMV but it looks like installation for the i386 case may be much simpler
when this exits beta-state.
