Over the past few days, I noticed that when I switched my pkgsrc tree to
the 2004Q4 branch, not all files were actually switched. I noticed it
because my builds complained about incorrect checksums for the patch
files. When I updated again, some of the files were corrected:
...
P archivers/zip1/distinfo
cvs update: checksum failure after patch to archivers/zip1/distinfo; will refetch
cvs update: Updating archivers/zip1/files
cvs update: Updating archivers/zip1/patches
P archivers/zip1/patches/patch-aa
cvs update: checksum failure after patch to archivers/zip1/patches/patch-aa; will refetch
...
However not all the files that it "will refetch" were actually
refetched; if there were too many of them (or too many files in general)
it just didn't do it. I had to update subtrees to get it actually
working.
I also noticed that $NetBSD$ is not being expanded anymore in these
files:
$ cat archivers/zip1/patches/patch-aa
$NetBSD$

I had to do many rounds of updates before I got all files correctly
updated. I hope it's related to the central anoncvs outage, otherwise
there is some big problem hiding in cvs. This is with the cvs from
NetBSD 1.6.2 and 2.0.
