Hi. I have an i386 machine, that I installed 2.0_RC4 onto
from an ISO. Then, I checked out and built -current. However,
trying to install into / caused problems. I first tried to
boot with a -current kernel, but that seemed to get occasional
errors fsck'ing the disks. So, I tried running the 2.0_RC4
kernel to build and install userland, but the install errored
out part-way through.

I suspect the machine is now lost, and I'll have to reinstall.
But, that's not too bad. But the next question is, how should I
do this upgrade to a home-built -current next time to avoid
these problems?

   Any assistance appriciated.
