I have similar problems. I tried three different PRISM / Orinoco cards
in a PeeCee running 2.0_RC1 with a TI PCI-CardBus bridge and non of the
cards did work:
wi0 at pcmcia0 function 0: ELSA, AirLancer MC-11, Version 01.01
wi0:wi0: command faild, cmd=3D0x0, arg=3D0x0
wi0: command faild, cmd=3D0x0, arg=3D0x0
wi0: command faild, cmd=3D0x0, arg=3D0x0
wi0: command faild, cmd=3D0x0, arg=3D0x0
wi0: command faild, cmd=3D0x0, arg=3D0x0
wi0: init failed
wi0: failed to attach controller

wi0 at pcmcia0 function 0: INTERSIL, I-GATE 11M PC Card / PC Card plus,
Version 01.02
wi0:wi0: init faild
could not get mac address, attach faild
wi0: faild to attach controller

The third card was some Acer OEM stuff and showed similar results as the
ELSA AirLancer MC-11.

I suspect some brokenness in wi(4), pcmcia(4) and / or cardbus(4).
Unfortunately I didn't have time to debug this in detail. Finaly I gave
up on wi(4) and epayed two atw(4) PCI cards. (The atw(4) cards are still
on the way to me, so I can't tell if they work.)
