This mean you have electrical problems on the IDE bus, which cause either
the data transfered to be corrupted (the CRC errors), or control lines to
miss a transition ("device timeout" typically mean it missed an interrupt).
Check the cable, and maybe power supply.
Also try to swap the disk and CD, and put the CD as slave and disk as master.
