I'm not sure what the problem with the printf(...) is, but I've had the
"" problem before, most recently when updating apache's
mod_ssl package.

Where is this and why isn't the package system updating
whatever package provides it?

Oh, my system is NetBSD 1.6ZH on i386 and gcc -v gives
