Yes.

I'll redo the loop and produce a disaster report and mail it off when
I get the chance.  Somewhere after the fifteenth compression is when
the first file goes bad.  Time is about 10 minutes to that point, I
think.

I'll do up a sufficiently verbose report (rechecks, plus timestamps)
and post it.  Or should I URL it?
