The "need toggle update" message is actually just informational in NetBSD at 
this point.  I left it in so that I would know the code is getting used and 
working.  (There are still some lurking gremlins related to short packets, 
but I've been hesitant to work on that without a device -- primarily tape 
drives -- that I can adequately test it with.)
