After a recent update I get many strange errors during bootup
and again when I try to do a build.sh build:
VSMINUS: flag 4
: permission denied
<repeated several times>
VSMINUS: flag 3
: permission denied
<etc>
ERROR: Configure of nbmake failed.

I can do some things, like use CVS to update sources -- but
there's nothing I can do to compile the updates.

Any ideas what's gone wrong?  Any other info required?
(arch=i386)
