I had issues with my onboard BCM 4401 NIC where WinXP turns off the
NIC's power during shutdown and NetBSD couldn't switch it on again
(see kern/24911). As I couldn't find any related "wake on LAN" BIOS
option this seems to be totally under OS control, at least for this
board, an ASUS A7V8X.
