Subject: 2.0_BETA hang in "vmmaplk"

I just upgraded my mac68k from 1.6ZK to May 3rd's 2.0_BETA, and the "w" 
command displays the header lines, then hangs. Sending SIGINFO (^T) 
shows that it's waiting on "vmmaplk". I can ^Z to suspend it and get the 
shell back, but when I then try to run another command, the shell hangs 
waiting on "vmmaplk".

An i386 system from the same time seems to be fine... Any ideas?
