If this discussion winds up 'recommending' adoption of VIM as the baseline
editor I think I, and a few other balding oldies will 'go postal' -There may
be bugs in vi, and (n)vi, but some are bugs my fingers and frontal lobes
are now wired around.

Please, leave my vi alone. real bugfixes are fine, but UI changes should be
deprecated without wider convergeance.
