Is that an SB Live 5.1? PCI?
Should work quite fine, mine does anyway. AFAIK all SB Live cards use the=20
EMU10k1 chiptset so there shouldn't be trouble getting it to work. Did you=
=20
include the driver in your -current kernel?
Just for reference, my kernel reads this on boot:
emuxki0 at pci0 dev 11 function 0: Creative Labs SBLive! EMU 10000 (audio=20
multimedia, revision 0x07)
emuxki0: interrupting at irq 10
emuxki0: ac97: SigmaTel STAC9708 codec; 18 bit DAC, 18 bit ADC, SigmaTel 3D
emuxki0: ac97: ext id 80<SDAC>
audio0 at emuxki0: full duplex, mmap, independent
joy0 at pci0 dev 11 function 1: Creative Labs PCI Gameport Joystick (rev=20
0x07)
joy0: joystick not connected

The kernel itself is pretty generic, i only removed some DEBUG-options and=
=20
file-systems.
But i DID have problems with my Soundblaster once, because my BIOS set up=20
some pretty weird IRQ configuration. You may check that the BIOS-setting=20
for "PnP Aware OS" is set to "NO" and the BIOS sets the IRQ of the card to=
=20
a unique one.
