I have a slightly dodgy network connection via cell phone.  On this network,
it appears to be common for me to run out of buffer space.  If I'm very
patient, it sometimes recovers.

It seems to be that on a machine with 640MB of memory, I shouldn't be running
out of network buffers in 5 minutes or less.

Is there a tuning knob I should be looking at?
