Hi folks,

(if i ask something that shouldn't be here please just
let me know, as it's my first post to this list and I'm a bit
unsure of things...) ( also a little long pls bear with me:) ).

I now have a dual PentiumII machine which I wanted to
try out some multi processing on. So on advice, I installed

ftp://releng.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/200401050000/
    i386/binary/kernel/netbsd-GENERIC.MP.gz

(the kernel, along with a whole install from the snapshot:
200401050000, that is).

This is the first time I've tried "current".

It works well, but I can't get X windows going because I can't
get the mouse going.

It's a common or garden PS/2 mouse in the little round plug
at the back of the ATX board.

The NetBSD documentation shows that you should use "pms0"
for this.

--> But I see nothing of the sort in the DMESG when it boots.

Now I would try to compile the kernel again to make sure it has
the pms device in it, but I don't know how to get the kernel
sources specifically for "NetBSD-daily/HEAD/200401050000NetBSD-daily/HEAD/200401050000"

syssrc.tgz is normally in for example:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.6.1/source/sets

but in the similar directory:
ftp://releng.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/200401050000

--> there is no source directory???

So,

1. can someone tell me how to get the syssrc for 200401050000
this snapshot please?

2. Or is there another way to get the mouse going?

Thanks in advance,

Paul.
