Almost exactly two years ago I wrote a post on current-users about a
problem with vi not being able to successfully remove its vi-recover
file.

I don't think I ever got any reply of any kind to this post and I see
this is still a problem in netbsd-1-6.

Does anyone have any new ideas about what's going wrong here?
