OK, so here's part of my clue to myself:

> ./usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/geometry/sharp

Was just added

> ./usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/keycodes/x68k

needs to be added

> ./usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/keymap/x68k

is a typo, I think, should be "keymaps" so there's a build problem in
x11.

> ./usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/sharp

needs to be added

> ./usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/sharp/jp

is a mystery to me.
