Just to remind everyone that the problem is not just the amount of
memory available, but the amount of *contiguous* memory pages
available. So the problem over time is fragmentation, rather than
necessarily leakage. This is why sometimes quitting a large
application, say mozilla, can help according to some reports.
At least, that's my understanding.
