I have finally tested the cd writer in another computer running almost
the same netbsd-current together with the same version of (pkgsrc)
cdrecord. It worked fine. No 1x speed during the subsequent writes.
Attached is a dmesg from this computer. The writer is the 'cd0' Plextor.

So somehow the drive thinks it can only do 1x the second time. Could it
be related to the DMA/PIO mode used? Is it some failsafe thing in
cdrecord that is triggered? But I have not failed any writes during
these tests. Furthermore I have only run the "testcases" with a CD-RW to
save some money.
