On two machines I tried to run 1.6ZC, I have this problem, which may
eventually lead to system freezes, kernel panic or other unpredicatble
behaviour.

The upgrade from 1.6W to 1.6ZC is a full update 
- nuked TOOLDIR, OBJDIR, DESTDIR
- ./build.sh ${OPTIONS} tools
- ./build.sh ${OPTIONS} distribution
- etcupdate
- ./build.sh ${OPTIONS} install=/


One one machine (HP Vectra VL800):
