Somehow that must be the problem. <pokes around> Aha! Looking along the
-I directories I find an old kafs.h in
/vol1/rhialto/destdir.alpha/usr/include/kerberosIV. I suppose it must
have moved. Thanks for the hint!

I wonder if it would be useful to remove obsolete files *before*
starting a build instead of afterwards?

In any case I'll just remove my whole $DESTDIR now to prevent similar
problems in the rest of the build; the previous build was rather old.
