     It probably would be.  Of course, with a dynamic nsswitch, there
would be no need to do this.

     Given that nsswitch is currently fully contain within libc, I
doubt that the interface is set in stone at this moment.  It can have
any number of changes until it is made fully dynamic and advertised.
At the moment, it really isn't meant for third party use.
