In case anybody else here finds OpenOffice useful but hasn't been tracking their
beta program, I just successfully installed the linux 1.1rc3 beta on i386
current, with a functional Linux /emul, including java.
This version can emit PDF, and claims to have improved powerpoint/word
compatability. So far, looks good!
