I believe I'm using what you're talking about:
amr0 at pci2 dev 1 function 0: AMI RAID <CERC ATA100/4ch>
Although in a 400sc vs. a 600sc. No problems yet. I haven't tried
simulating a drive failure, but for normal day-to-day operation it works.
