I've now done most of what I intended to do.
There is a little tidying up left - some messages aren't quite right.
And I guess there a few lurking bugs!

However it is now possible to install NetBSD into an MBR extended
partition.

Since the rototiller has powered down, anyone else can probably make
changes to sysinst without finding they won't merge.
