Sadly, they can get overlooked in GNATS as well. I submitted a new
package via pr 21206 in april and it's still in state open. I expect that
people are very busy with other things, because in the past, submitting
packages with a send-pr has resulted in addition of the package within
about a week.

A PR and a message thread together may produce better results. It would be
nice to get vmware3 working under current. 

Does anyone know if vmware4 will be supported any time soon?
