If I type "consdev com0" at the (i386) bootblocks it causes the kernel
to boot with the console set to the serial port. Once I've got a /dev,
shouldn't anything written to /dev/console end up going out that serial
port? It doesn't seem to work. However, /dev/tty00 works as expected.
Also, xconsole sees stuff written to /dev/console. Is this how it's
supposed to work? I thought I remembered it behaving differently.
