I don't mean to add any pressure by asking this, it's just out of idle
curiousity. :-)

I still have some packages installed on my current/i386 box which claim
dependency upon GNU pth.  I'm wondering if the native pthread support is
polished enough to replace GNU pth with native threads for such packages?
