Um, for the record, they were believed to have cancelled the
rest of their 2 year grant (6 mos remaining).  Not the OS.
The OS existed with SSL and IPSec when it was still illegal
to publish that stuff for general use in the US.

The OS is 6 years old.  DARPA offered funding for the last 1.5 years.
