Thanks.  I did another 'cvs update'; I'll wipe the stuff and try again.
(I've had sufficiently bad luck with partial builds via -u that I 
generally wipe my /usr/obj and /usr/netbsd trees before rebuilding.  
Then I go away for a few hours...)
