I'm actually crossbuilding for macppc on a i386
Today, I had a weird error :
After a successful ./build.sh {good_options} distribution,
I install this distribution into a directory :
root.$MACHINE;$TARGETHOST which actually expands to /usr/root.macppc.doriath
>===> build.sh command: ./build.sh -o -u -m macppc -D /usr/build.macppc \
> -O /usr/obj.macppc -T /usr/tools.macppc install=/usr/root.macppc.doriath
>===> build.sh started: Mon Apr 7 15:11:28 CEST 2003
>===> DESTDIR path: /usr/build.macppc
>===> TOOLDIR path: /usr/tools.macppc
>===> Updated /usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbmake-macppc
>(cd /usr/src/distrib/sets && /usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbmake
>INSTALLDIR=/usr/root.macppc.doriath INSTALLSETS= installsets)
>DESTDIR=/usr/build.macppc MACHINE=macppc MACHINE_ARCH=powerpc
>MAKE=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbmake MTREE=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbmtree
>PAX=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbpax sh /usr/src/distrib/sets/maketars
>-d /usr/build.macppc -N /usr/src/etc -i /usr/root.macppc.doriath
>Copying set base
>pax: /usr/root.macppc.doriath/./dev/log skipped. Sockets cannot be copied
>or extracted
I search for a relevant line in the buid distribution log :
Fonund that :
>install ===> usr.sbin/syslogd
>STRIP=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/powerpc--netbsd-strip
> /usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbinstall -N /usr/src/etc -c -p -r -o root
> -g wheel -m 555 -s syslogd /usr/build.macppc/usr/sbin/syslogd
>STRIP=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/powerpc--netbsd-strip
> /usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbinstall -N /usr/src/etc -c -p -r -o root
> -g wheel -m 444 /usr/src/usr.sbin/syslogd/syslog.conf.5
> /usr/build.macppc/usr/share/man/man5/syslog.conf.5
>STRIP=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/powerpc--netbsd-strip
> /usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbinstall -N /usr/src/etc -c -p -r -o root
> -g wheel -m 444 /usr/src/usr.sbin/syslogd/syslogd.8
> /usr/build.macppc/usr/share/man/man8/syslogd.8
>STRIP=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/powerpc--netbsd-strip
> /usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbinstall -N /usr/src/etc -c -p -r -o root
> -g wheel -m 444 syslog.conf.cat5
> /usr/build.macppc/usr/share/man/cat5/syslog.conf.0
>STRIP=/usr/tools.macppc/bin/powerpc--netbsd-strip
> /usr/tools.macppc/bin/nbinstall -N /usr/src/etc -c -p -r -o root
> -g wheel -m 444 syslogd.cat8
> /usr/build.macppc/usr/share/man/cat8/syslogd.0
>/usr/build.macppc/dev/log -> /var/run/log
Should I file a PR ?
Thanks,
