You're sure they're cardbus and not PCMCIA? While I don't have any 
Cardbus wireless cards, I haven't seen any Cardbus card use a PCMCIA 
driver attachment, and didn't think it was possible... Cardbus cards 
have the bumpy coppery bit on the top of the socket end. Also, if you 
hold the card top side up, looking down the socket end, there'll be a 
little notch on the right side of the card. On a cardbus card, the 
notch is about 1mm high (out of the 3mm or so total card thickness). On 
a PCMCIA card, the notch is about 2mm high. I.e., something like:

(which is why you can't put a Cardbus card into a PCMCIA slot)
