Odd on the card. I'll go look at your debug output again (I've had 1 card 
here before I knew was bad, but it was a VIA one so I figured it was their
fault :-)

Nothing I can do about the speed. (thats the drive saying it won't do
more than 100Mbits/sec).

Now overall performance is probably bad at the moment but I'm working on that
this weekend now that I got my drive filled with it's initial data.
