Err.. FWIW, I have _never_ had pkgsrc in /usr/pkgsrc, I don't even have
a link from /usr/pkgsrc to /pub/pkgsrc or /tmp/pkgsrc where I keep the
sources - and pkgsrc is working, AFAICT.
