I always use -Pd with updates, but I've never seen a need before with
initial checkouts.  Why is there an empty gnu/usr.bin/grep directory
in the repo?

Anyway, thanks for an answer to one of my questions.  It's still not
clear whether I should be using 'make build' or ./build.sh, and if the
latter, why.
