After noticing the updates to sys/dev/ieee1394 several days ago, then 
seeing Peter's comment about it "coming along", I decided to give it a try. 
The first time I plugged in my firewire CD drive, it worked perfectly! Cool!

Unfortnuately, subsequent attempts have led alternately to the cd being 
probed as sd0, and kernel panics.

Should I put this through more formalized testing and report it? Or should 
I wait a few days until the code settles down before I give it another go?
