Thank you for focusing back on this point!

As I see it, would I have done a build.sh -D ... -R ...
I would have been left with a working operating system, but
all/most/some of my packages would fail with coredumps.

And this IMHO is definitely a problem, which should be solved somehowe.
I will give it a new try with a fresh -current from today, but a full
build takes some time on my machine :-(
Any details I sould provide to help solve the problem?
