Intel has (had?) a dual-port 10/100 "server adapter" based on the i82558,
but it also used a PCI-PCI bridge.

Intel also has new dual-port Gig-E cards (PRO/1000 MT, I think) which
will be supported by the "wm" driver shortly (they are indeed multifunction
parts, rather than using a PCI-PCI bridge).
