If you want a nice graphical tool, try gkrellm: it monitors all the
stuff you need (from mobo sensors to kernel pppoe). You may customize
it to fit your needs and, even, change its skins.

It's in the package tree (/usr/pkgsrc/sysutils/gkrellm).

BTW: if someone know how to disable sensor stuff display with the last
package version... I don't figure out to do so (it was ok with
previous versions).
