Hi all
I'm working in console mouse support. I would like you to try it and
comment me your impressions before I send-pr it (the code is not mature
yet). It still lacks some features, but for the moment it seems to work
pretty fine for me ;)
The program consist in two parts, the kernel patch (small) and the mouse
daemon.
You can fetch both from:
http://jmmv.dyndns.org/NetBSD/mouse-patch.diff
http://jmmv.dyndns.org/NetBSD/wsmoused-20020503.tar.gz
To enable kernel support, patch the kernel and add:
options WSDISPLAY_CHARFUNCS
to your configuration file.
The daemon will use ioctl's from /dev/ttyEcfg, so it needs to be root to
work (or the user who owns that device).
Note: it currently works on arch's that use the pcdisplay driver (i386 only=
?).
Waiting your comments, I hope you like it.
Thank you.
