On a related note, I recently discovered that we install libbfd as a
full-fledged library, with .a, .so, and _pic.a versions, but we don't
install bfd.h. Is this intentional? It doesn't seem right... either we
should include bfd.h, or we shouldn't bother with the .a forms.
