Personally I haven't tried the kernel PPPoE code in -current, but
as it seems you want to get up and running ASAP -- I installed a
NetBSD box as a router for my friend, and the Roaring Penguin PPPoE
software works great with Verizon's ADSL in NYC. Takes about two
seconds to set it up.
