hey all--

since returning from abroad I discovered that my cohabitators switched
to verizon, and thus my old netbsd box can no longer serve the net connection
like it did before (basic two card static-ip-external/NAT-internal). I'm
thus going through the process of trying to set up pppoe on it now, and
am a little frustrated on what a hard time I'm having setting up documentation
on pppoe for netbsd. there isn't anything I could find from the documentation
page on netbsd.org, and using the built in websearch for netbsd.org, I get
mostly mails from der mouse about the initial development and later, about
performance differences between mouse-pppoe and rp-pppoe.

So, I guess what I'm asking is, is there a single place with all this
stuff well documented? Is there a netbsd package the supplies all this
functionality? I believe that I already have a kernel with pppoe support
built in, but don't have a /dev/pppoe and can't make it with /dev/MAKEDEV
either.

thanks for your time everyone.

PS-I'm not (yet) subscribed to current-users, but probably will if I ever
get this working :), so if you could do me the favor of group-replying or
replying personally, I'd be most appreciative.
