It seems to help, at least on my laptop.  NTP hasn't stepped the clock since
I installed the new kernel.  Clock offset is about 3 ms (but I can live with
it ;-)

IMHO, the patch should be applied to the wi sources in the repository..

Thanks to Bernd for pointing me to the patch (and to others for confirming
the problem).
